Antonio del Pollaiuolo was born in Florence between 1429 and 1433 and was an early student of his brother, father and Andrea del Castagno. There is a sense of naked brutality in his depictions of male figures, yet his female figures are calm and meticulously clothed.
The Battle of Ten Nudes

Pollaiuolo created The Battle of the Ten Nudes in about 1475. The original engraving measures 16.8 x 23.6 inches.
