Anonymous Greeks

The Ancient Greeks reveled in the form of the Male Nude and glorified it. Anonymous Greeks at first depicted their gods as nudes and then expanded their representations to heroes, athletes and social leaders. Though their teachers were the Egyptians, the ancient Greeks early on dispensed with clothing in their male representations. It took several centuries before they began producing female nudes.
